For Visitors and New Members:
After you have attended several worship gatherings, and have started to be active in this community, you may feel drawn to becoming a member. We ask that you take this decision seriously, and pray for God’s leading. If you would like to begin the membership process you will be asked to attend fellowship, educational, informational and service events. After this process, and as you feel called, you may chose to become a member and will be received into the Oak Knoll faith community.
New Members:
While membership is not a requirement for sharing in our worship or programs, making the decision to become a member of a faith community helps to affirm a person's commitment to faith, to participation, to prayer and to stewardship. Those interested in joining our faith community are asked to to two things:
- Attend at least one evening of Ephphatha - our Wednesday evening education and fellowship time.
- Atttend New Member Orientation. During this meeting we will offer specific information about our community our history, and what it means to be a Lutheran. It's also a wonderful time to get to know some new people at Oak Knoll and ask any questions you may have.
Ifyou are interested in joining our congreations, please let us know either by attending worship and signing the New Membersheet at the Welcom Table, or by contacting Pastor Michele at pastor.michele@oklutheran.org.
Watch this space for New Member Orientation and New Member Sunday dates.
Sign up for next New Member class.
