 High School Ministry (Grades 10-12)

Our High School Ministry has a mission to reach up to give God thanks and praise, to reach out and share God’s love with others and to reach in to share faith based experiences with each other. This triangle of focus is the basis on which the High School students plan their activities for the year. These activities, alongside Amity Club and our awesome summer impact events are the core of our High School Ministry.

Middle School and Confirmation Program (Grades 7, & 9)

Middle School our 7th, 8th and 9th graders gather together for our Confirmation Program each Wednesday evening during Ephphatha (see pages 2 & 3). During this time the youth spend time with our pastors and staff to learn basic biblical knowledge, and the basics of the Lutheran tradition. They also spend time in small groups with adult leaders where they share thoughts and ideas on what it means to be followers of Jesus. Throughout these three years the youth spend time together in retreats, in fun-filled lock-ins, and in projects serving the congregation and people in our community. In the last year of confirmation we ask the youth to spend time with an adult mentor who will help them think about how they might live their lives as faithful adults. Our Rite of Confirmation occurs in the spring of the 9th grade year.

  • Children's Ministry

Our Children’s, Youth and Family Ministry is designed to be a seamless move from birth to age 18. We believe that young people should not see their relationship to the church community as having many opportunities to leave, but rather all kinds of reasons to stay. Those reasons are the relationships they have with adult friends and peers who love them. From baptism to high school graduation, and beyond, Oak Knoll seeks to be a place of “home” for our children.
