TIME, TALENTS & SERVICE PROJECTS

Giving to God - Our Time Our Lives Our Possessions................

Each Sunday in worship, as we bring forward the offering, we respond with this prayer, “Through your goodness you have blessed us with these gifts. With them we offer ourselves to your service.” As followers of Jesus Christ, we see our lives as blessings to be shared. All of who we are comes from God and all that we have been given is for God’s use and purpose. It is only for us to offer it up.

The people of Oak Knoll Lutheran are generous people. They give of their hearts, their hands and their money. We see people reaching into the grief of others with comfort. We see kindness poured out for those in need. We see giving that stretches to meet our growing community.

Generosity begets generosity. Love expands love. Kindness multiplies kindness. Jesus Christ has shown us what it means to give our lives away for God. And when we do, there is no telling what God can do through us.

Oak Knoll Lutheran Church God’s Squad

Oak Knoll’s God’s Squad offers you the perfect opportunity “To Serve the Next One God Sends our Way”.

Our God’s Squad was set up to assist Oak Knoll parishioners who for whatever reason need a helping hand.  Many are isolated, some are ill, some have disabilities that limit their ability to do ordinary tasks….and some just need a friendly word and a sign that they are thought about and cared for.

Oak Knoll and Lyngblomsten will provide educational opportunities, encouragement, support and recognition in return for volunteer work with God’s Squad.

As a God’s Squad Volunteer, the following will be expected of you:

  • Confidentiality of information
  • Reliability when volunteering for a task.
  • Driver’s License and adequate car insurance if transporting individuals.
  • Report back to God’s Squad Coordinator after service is completed.
  • Report to Parish Nurse and concerns and/or changes noted in the individual.
