Jane Leyden Cavanaugh will be returning to Oak Knoll to lead a Women's Mini Retreat on Saturday April 26 from 9:00 am to noon.  this retreat will focus on the life lessons of accepting change that we can learn from the season of spring.  The retreat will be a combination of music, prayer, laughter, discussion and food.

The response to the Winter Mini Retreat that Jane offered was overwhelmingtly positive - this should be a wonderful morning!  Cost is $25 with a light breakfast provided.  Scholarship are available.  Any questions??  Contact Pastor Michele.

WOW (Women of the Word)
Women of the Word, (WOW) will be meeting on the first Saturday of each month at 8:30 am at the church starting Saturday, February 2nd.  We are starting a new book – Kelly Fryer’s Reclaiming the “L” Word: Renewing the church from its Lutheran Core.  Books are $9 and will be available at the meeting.  This group is a wonderful combination of study and fellowship and all women  are welcome to attend.  If you have any questions, contact Pastor Michele.

Monday Morning Women’s Bible Study
This group meets every Monday morning between 9:30 - 11:00 at the church starting September 24.  This year we will be doing a study on the Gospel of Luke.

Lutheran World Relief Sewing/Quilting
Our dedicated women come together every Wednesday throughout the year to make quilts for Lutheran World Relief distribution. Fabric and yarn is donated by members and friends of the congregation. We are always looking for more hands. If you would like to be a part of this outreach ministry, come join us any Wednesday. We gather around 8-9:00am. Coffee is on at 9:30. We usually finish at 11:30am.

Altar Guild
This group takes care of the altar and communion preparation each Sunday and changes the altar linens for the different seasons of the church year.  The commission of the Altar Guild includes taking care of the flowers, candles, communion supplies and altar linens. New members are always welcome to the Altar Guild, which meets the first Tuesday of the month, at 12:30 in the Fellowship Hall.  For those people who are interested in helping but have limited time, there are opportunities for helping for a given month or season.  If interested please call Jean Bednar.  LOOKING FOR NEW MEMBERS TO HELP SERVE COMMUNION ON SUNDAYS!
